Welcome to the blog! I am Jennifer AKA Yaya. I'm a thirty something wife and mother of two sweet kiddos: Ellie, 6 and Mason, 4. My husband, Brandon is a meat scientist (more on that later) who has convinced me to live life in rural USA with cows and tractors and gardens and creeks and neighbors who drive horses and buggies...yes I said horses and buggies!
I am lucky enough to be living this crazy life with my best friend and sister who lives a mere 3 miles from me. I could not do this without her and I like to tell myself she couldn't do it without me. As you read, I hope you will find that we compliment one another quite well. I can cook and she's a cleaning machine.
Who are Yaya and Biz? That's us! We're a lot of things: Mamas, wives, daughters, sisters and AUNTS. Biz has always been Biz. It's a nickname our cousin gave her many years ago that just stuck. When my kids came along, she because Aunt Biz. When I became an aunt to Biz's first baby boy, one of the first things he said (besides Mama and Dada) was "Yaya". So I decided he must be talking to me! And it stuck.
There are so many days that we say "we should have a blog...or a reality TV show." So today is the day!
So this is an account of our lives, I guess. We think our lives are funny/ humorous/ insane/ busy/ wonderful. Our husbands say we are the only ones who think we are funny. Did that even make sense? But maybe there is someone out there (besides our mom) who will enjoy our stories. At least we have each other!
